Key responsibilities:
Machine Setup and Operation – Set up and operate lathe machines to produce precision parts based on blueprints, sketches, and instructions.
Material Handling – Load, align, and securely clamp materials in the lathe machine.
Lathe Programming and Adjustment – Program, adjust, and control the lathe to perform operations such as cutting, grinding, drilling, and threading.
Machine Monitoring – Monitor lathe operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments for quality output.
Precision Measurement – Measure and inspect completed parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to meet specifications.
Maintenance – Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the lathe machine and related tools.
Safety and Cleanliness – Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Record Keeping – Keep accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any deviations from standard procedures.
Collaboration – Work with engineering teams to improve processes and enhance quality.
