Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Lead Engineers, who will be based in our UAE office and lead the multidiscipline Engineering of the project.
Project includes the detailed engineering and design, quality assurance and control, procurement/supply, interface management, construction/installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning/start-up of Hydrocarbon & non-Hydrocarbon systems and management including all works required for the job completion. The main objective of this brownfield project is to increase the production handling capacity by adding a new Production Train and associated facilities at an existing Central Degassing Station and a new gas lift compressor train at another existing Central Degassing Station.
Role Summary:
Lead the design and engineering of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines) for oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as API 610, 617, and other relevant codes.
Oversee the preparation and review of equipment specifications, datasheets, and vendor documentation.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure seamless integration of rotating equipment with system designs.
Perform detailed design calculations, including vibration analysis, rotor dynamics, and thermal performance.
Review and approve design layouts, P&IDs, and equipment drawings to ensure technical accuracy and project specifications.
Provide technical support throughout all project phases, including procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Manage the vendor selection process, conduct technical evaluations, and ensure quality assurance and control of equipment packages.
Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving for rotating equipment issues during design, testing, and operation.
Mentor and guide junior engineers in the design and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
Ensure that design deliverables meet project timelines, budgets, and safety requirements.
Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and other design review processes.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
15 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects, with a focus on rotating equipment.
Strong understanding of international standards (API, ASME, etc.).
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Previous experience in EPC projects is mandatory.
