ob Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Secretary fluent in Arabic and English to provide administrative and secretarial support to our legal department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling legal documents, managing schedules, preparing translations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of legal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, letters, contracts, and reports in both Arabic and English.
- Translate legal documents and correspondence from English to Arabic and vice versa.
- Manage legal filing systems, maintain accurate records, and organize documents for easy retrieval.
- Schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments for the legal team.
- Liaise with courts, government departments, and external legal firms as required.
- Handle confidential information with a high level of discretion.
- Track deadlines, legal dates, and ensure timely submission of documents.
- Prepare legal bundles and coordinate case files.
- Respond to routine inquiries and correspondence.
- Support the legal team with administrative tasks, research, and follow-ups.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant, or administrative support in a legal setting.
- Fluency in Arabic and English – both spoken and written.
- Excellent knowledge of legal terminology and procedures in UAE (or relevant country).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with UAE courts or legal documentation systems.
- Familiarity with legal software or document management systems
