About The Role
As the Manager of Facilities for Guest Rooms, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, upkeep, and enhancement of all guest room facilities. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management (FM) related to rooms, including preventive and reactive maintenance, CAPEX project execution, and the leadership of a multidisciplinary team. You will ensure that all FM activities align with Atlantis’ luxury standards, sustainability goals, and guest satisfaction objectives. This role involves assisting in the coordination of maintenance schedules, overseeing repair work, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The manager will help lead the maintenance team, facilitate communication with vendors, and collaborate with other departments to enhance the guest experience. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, tracking maintenance requests, and contributing to budget management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of daily operations of maintenance staff and activities for guest room facilities.
- Schedule and supervise routine and Preventive and reactive Maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and longevity of assets.
- Lead and manage all FM operations related to guest rooms, suites, and associated back-of-house areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance
- with safety standards.
- Support the training and development of maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Scheduling staff shifts and managing workloads to ensure efficient operations and approving timesheets.
- Monitor Contractors Performance and ensure adherence to service agreements and quality standards
- Address guest inquiries and concerns related to facilities and maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experiences and resolve any facility-related complaints.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment inventories.
- Provide regular updates to the Director of Facilities regarding ongoing projects and issues.
- Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team including technicians across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Design and implement a structured training and development program to upskill team members, promote internal growth, and ensure technical excellence.
- Plan and execute CAPEX projects related to room refurbishments, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
About You
We are looking for candidates with experience in a complex hospitality or entertainment facility who can demonstrate the below skills and qualities:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Energy Engineering.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships inside the business
- Strong DATA and Analytical skills.
- Strong background in Preventative / Reactive/Predicative Maintenance, Utilities and Energy Management
- Ability to be a "hands-on" Engineer, while work independently and productively within a team environment
- Multi-task with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
