Job Requirements:
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy marble slabs
- Knowledge of different types of marble and their properties
- Proficiency in using polishing equipment and tools
- Ability to identify and repair cracks or other defects on the marble
- Attention to detail and ability to achieve a smooth, glossy finish
- Willingness to work in dusty and noisy environments
- Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members
- Prior experience in marble polishing or related field is preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect and examine marble surfaces to determine the type of polishing required
- Operate polishing machines, grinders, and other tools to polish marble surfaces
- Apply abrasive compounds, chemicals, and polishing materials to marble surfaces
- Monitor the polishing process to ensure quality standards are met
- Clean and maintain polishing equipment and tools
- Collaborate with other workers to move and position marble slabs and tiles
- Follow safety procedures and regulations while working with heavy machinery and chemicals
- Communicate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences
