We are seeking an experienced and certified Master DPO to take command of offshore DP vessels operating in Abu Dhabi waters. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe navigation and overall command of the vessel, ensuring full compliance with ADNOC, international maritime regulations, and dynamic positioning standards.
As the Master and DPO, you will lead shipboard operations during critical offshore activities including but not limited to drilling support, ROV operations, subsea construction, and accommodation support. You must possess strong leadership, navigational, and DP control skills, along with a thorough understanding of offshore safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full command of the vessel and ensure safe navigation and operations at all times.
- Operate and oversee all Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC, Class, Flag State, and company policies and procedures.
- Lead emergency response drills and ensure crew readiness.
- Liaise with offshore installation managers (OIM), client reps, and shore-based teams.
- Maintain vessel certification, logbooks, and ensure all DP records are accurate and up to date.
- Supervise and mentor junior officers and DP operators.
- Ensure compliance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and ISPS Code.
- Monitor maintenance and condition of the DP system, bridge equipment, and safety gear.
Requirements:
- Master Mariner license (STCW II/2 Unlimited or equivalent).
- Valid DP Unlimited Certificate (NI-recognized).
- Minimum 24 months of experience as Master or Chief Officer on DP Class 2 or 3 vessels.
- Valid STCW certificates including Advanced Firefighting, Medical First Aid, and GMDSS.
- Excellent knowledge of vessel operations, DP systems, and offshore safety practices.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- ADNOC approval or previous operational experience in Abu Dhabi waters is highly preferred.
