Job Overview
COENGR is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman (FLS) with strong expertise in Fire & Life Safety (FLS) systems. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings in compliance with Abu Dhabi Civil Defence (ADCD) regulations, ensuring high-quality design documentation and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed FLS drawings (Firefighting, Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting) in line with ADCD regulations.
- Develop neat and precise technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Take material quantities and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for projects.
- Interpret and draft from architectural, structural, and elevation drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
- Make necessary revisions to drawings based on project requirements and site changes.
- Maintain attention to detail and ensure technical precision in all documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3–6 years in a similar role within the construction industry in Abu Dhabi (mandatory).
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit (mandatory); knowledge of other drafting tools is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Ability to interpret sketches and verbal instructions into technical drawings.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Problem-solving ability to resolve design issues and site modifications.
