- Supervise mechanical teams in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine machinery and systems (e.g., engines, pumps, piping systems, HVAC, propulsion systems).
- Plan and allocate daily tasks to mechanical technicians and fitters.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct inspections to verify quality and safety of work performed.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., electrical, structural) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project timelines and assist in scheduling manpower and resources.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices.
- Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, time sheets, and documentation as required.
