Mechanical Technician (Wireline/Slickline Manufacturing)

Job Summary. 
Mechanical Assembly Technician should be able to complete jobs & tasks assigned to him by the supervisor, within the required time frame. He should be able to read and interpret technical drawings, determine the appropriate assembly tools and technics to be used to complete the job as per the specifications provided in the Work Order package issued.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Review and understand the WO for the job assigned.
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
• Assemble the job as per the specifications provided in the Work Order package issued.
• Update and maintain documents required for relevant work orders.
• Notify supervisor for any mistakes or as built changes required.
• Conduct hydrostatic tests or FAT of completed jobs — Only if authorized to do, at designated areas.
• Maintain tools and equipment always in a good condition.
• Report to the cell leader immediately any machine problem or accident.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop as per 5S.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.  
• Perform any kind of tasks/duties as requested by the cell leader.
• To be available for field service trips if required and for other activities requested by the management.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED: 

Essential: 

• Basic knowledge of assembly technics and tools
• Able to read and understand hydraulic schematics/electrical schematics/engineering drawings
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written)

Desirable: 

• Technical training Certificate
• Experience in hydraulic tubing/plumbing
• Familiar with NOV K-Winch/WPCE/WHE products
• Forklift license preferred
