Job Description: Montessori Preschool Administrator
Position Overview:
The School Administrator at Future Scholars Montessori Preschool plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school’s administrative functions. This role involves managing daily operations, supporting staff and parents, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The School Administrator is central to creating a well-organized environment that supports the school’s mission and Montessori philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Operations:
- Oversee daily administrative tasks, including managing schedules, maintaining records, and coordinating school activities.
- Ensure that administrative processes are efficient, streamlined, and compliant with school policies and regulations.
Team Support:
- Assist the Directress and other teaching staff with administrative requirements, including organizing meetings, preparing documents, and coordinating professional development activities.
- Act as a point of contact for staff inquiries and provide support as needed.
Parent & Student Interaction:
- Serve as a liaison between parents and the school, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing necessary information.
- Manage student records, including enrollment, attendance, and academic documentation.
Financial Oversight:
- Assist in managing the school’s budget, handling invoices, and coordinating with finance teams for payments and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and school resources.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure that the school complies with relevant regulations and policies, including health and safety standards.
- Assist in implementing emergency protocols and maintaining a safe school environment.
Event Coordination:
- Organize school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other special activities in collaboration with staff and the Directress.
- Coordinate logistics, communication, and resources for successful event execution.
Technology & Communication:
- Manage school-wide communication systems, including email, newsletters, and announcements.
- Support the implementation of technology tools to enhance administrative efficiency and parent engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven 3-5 years experience in school administration or a similar role, preferably in an preschool/educational setting.
- Proficiency in English, Arabic, and French is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in office management software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with school management systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
