We are looking for an experienced Motor Underwriter to join our brokerage team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in motor insurance underwriting, with a deep understanding of insurer guidelines, market dynamics, and client servicing. This role involves negotiating with insurers, structuring competitive motor insurance solutions, and supporting the sales team with technical expertise to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting Support & Placement:
- Assess client motor insurance requirements and prepare underwriting submissions for insurers.
- Knowledge of motor insurance companies portals
- Negotiate terms, premiums, and coverage with multiple insurers to secure optimal solutions for clients.
- Compare and analyze quotations to recommend the best-fit options.
- Client & Sales Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with account managers and sales teams to understand client needs and provide tailored motor insurance solutions.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and renewal strategies.
- Market & Insurer Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with key motor insurance providers in the UAE market.
- Stay updated on underwriting guidelines, product changes, and market trends.
- Risk Advisory & Technical Expertise:
- Provide expert advice on motor insurance risks, coverage structures, and policy wordings.
- Support clients in understanding exclusions, conditions, and claims processes.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all placements and underwriting activities comply with UAE regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, negotiations, and final placements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of motor underwriting experience.
- Strong understanding of UAE motor insurance market and insurer underwriting practices.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in insurance platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deliver under tight timelines.
- Experience handling fleet policies, high-value vehicles, and complex motor risks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a client-centric approach.
