We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Packaging Development Executive to lead and coordinate activities related to new product development, packaging design and compliance, and market intelligence. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bringing new products to market successfully while ensuring all technical, regulatory, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across departments to maintain the product launch pipeline and ensure timely execution of activities, including concept development, sample prototypes, product briefs, and promotional materials.
- Schedule and coordinate all tasks related to new product development and ensure accurate timelines are maintained.
- Develop and implement training programs for newly launched products for the business development team.
- Actively participate in post-launch evaluations by analyzing performance metrics and presenting findings to management.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all pre- and post-launch phases, providing regular updates to management.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and external vendors for the development of primary and secondary packaging materials, including packaging specifications, label content, graphic design, and loading capabilities.
- Ensure implementation of clean label practices across new and existing products.
- Analyze packaging material quality and vendor performance, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Ensure all product-related compliance requirements are met across operational regions, including technical data development, label approvals, product registration, and regulatory documentation.
- Act as the point of contact for managing and resolving market complaints related to new products, while maintaining proper documentation.
- Conduct periodic market research and competitor analysis focused on variables such as packaging material, pricing, volume, pack size, and product categories.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management based on market intelligence and research findings.
- Maintain a structured and organized approach to work, ensuring documentation and data management is accurate and up to date.
- Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, effective communication, and strong relationship management with internal teams and external partners.
- Uphold high standards of integrity and ensure timely and quality execution of responsibilities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in product or packaging development, preferably in the FMCG or food industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, labelling standards, and clean label requirements.
- Proven ability to manage documentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
- Proficiency in working with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
