Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers or sealants.
- Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, enamels, stains, lacquers, or other finishes to various surfaces (walls, ceilings, wood, metal, etc.).
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment according to specifications and required finishes.
- Read and interpret drawings, work orders, or instructions to determine painting requirements.
- Protect adjacent surfaces by covering them with drop cloths, masking tape, or protective materials.
- Inspect and repair surfaces to ensure smooth application and high-quality finish.
- Maintain tools, brushes, spray guns, and other painting equipment in good working condition.
