Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries, desserts, and other baked goods that meet the restaurant's standards of excellence. The Pastry Chef will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all items are prepared and presented attractively while maintaining consistency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dessert and Pastry Creation:
- Design and create a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, pies, cookies, and bread in accordance with the restaurant’s menu.
- Experiment with new flavors, textures, and presentation styles to create innovative and seasonal desserts.
- Follow and improve existing recipes, ensuring that all pastries are of the highest quality.
- Decorate and present pastries and desserts beautifully for both aesthetics and taste.
- Baking and Cooking:
- Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, icings, and other ingredients for baking.
- Operate ovens, mixers, and other baking equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained and cleaned.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked correctly.
- Inventory and Ordering:
- Order and maintain inventory of ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is always stocked with the necessary supplies.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, stored properly, and rotated according to company standards.
- Quality Control and Presentation:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen.
- Ensure that all pastries and desserts are visually appealing, consistent in quality, and properly portioned.
- Conduct taste tests to ensure quality, flavor, and consistency.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
- Provide guidance and training to junior pastry staff or apprentices as needed.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure safe handling and preparation of food.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications:
- Any degree or equivalent experience in pastry or baking.
- Proven experience working as a Pastry Chef or in a similar position in a reputable bakery, restaurant, or catering environment.
- Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, pastry creation, and dessert presentation.
- Strong creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Preferable Female Pastry Chef
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
