Overview
As a Pastry/Fondant Chef Commis I you are responsible for preparing a wide variety of delicious desserts, pastries, and sweet goods. They create new and enticing recipes, decorate pastries to ensure beautiful presentation, and maintain the quality of ingredients and equipment.
Job Description
1. Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
2. Utilize advanced decorating techniques to enhance the visual appeal of cakes, including fondant, buttercream, and sugar art.
3. Understand the vision and provide expert recommendations on cake design and flavor combinations.
4. Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
5. Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
6. Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
7. Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
8. Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
9. Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
