Magnum Clinic is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. As a Patient Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining appointment schedules, implementing sales strategies, and ensuring prompt and accurate response to internal and external calls and messages.
Your role will also involve obtaining necessary patient information for registration, insurance, and the completion of electronic health records and claims. Effective communication with patients, physicians, and other staff members within the clinic and external facilities is essential, providing accurate, timely, and responsive assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain appointment schedules for patients, ensuring efficient allocation of time slots and avoiding conflicts.
- Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external calls, messages, and queries, providing necessary information or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Obtain patient information during registration, including insurance details, to ensure accurate and complete electronic health records and claims processing.
- Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other staff members, both within the clinic and external facilities, ensuring accurate, timely, and responsive assistance.
- Coordinate patient referrals to other healthcare professionals or facilities, ensuring seamless transfer of medical records and necessary information.
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and optimize the patient experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and data protection regulations.
- Update and maintain patient records and databases accurately.
- Assist in managing clinic inventory and ordering necessary supplies.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health records systems.
- Proficiency in using computer software and applications, including MS Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information and records.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations.
