The Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all plumbing, sanitary, and steam systems within the hotel. The role includes responding to maintenance requests, performing preventive maintenance, ensuring water system quality, and supporting daily plant operations. This position requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience in hospitality or facility management, and the ability to read plumbing schematics and drawings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain all plumbing, steam, and sanitary systems along with associated installations.
Clean shower heads and maintain proper service records.
Attend to telephonic complaints and maintenance requests promptly.
Determine material and equipment requirements for plumbing tasks.
Raise purchase requests and verify quality and accuracy of delivered materials.
Diagnose trouble areas, carry out repairs/replacements, and perform corrective actions.
Conduct preventive maintenance as per manuals and complete service reports.
Ensure water quality in storage tanks meets acceptable standards.
Inspect all water outlets and rectify leaks or faults as necessary.
Assist Plant Operators in daily operations and perform plant operation duties as assigned.
Perform any other duties assigned by superiors.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Vocational Diploma or Certificate.
Trade Certificate in Plumbing or Mechanical.
Skills & Experience:
Good knowledge of plumbing network design, products, and alternative solutions.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in 5-star hotels, hospitals, facilities management companies, or in construction (MEP division).
Basic English communication skills, both written and verbal.
