Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Principal Engineer specialising in Roads and Highways to join our esteemed engineering firm in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key technical leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure in the region, leveraging your expertise to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Lead and oversee the design and implementation of complex road and highway projects throughout the UAE and wider Middle East region
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Develop cutting-edge solutions for transportation infrastructure challenges, with a focus on sustainability and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with local UAE and international design standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
- Conduct thorough technical reviews and quality assurance checks on project deliverables, demonstrating keen attention to detail
- Contribute to business development efforts and proposal writing, showcasing analytical and visionary thinking
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in road and highway engineering, driving innovation within the organisation
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of BIM Infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in road and highway engineering, with a proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Advanced knowledge of road and highway design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- In-depth understanding of UAE and international road and highway design standards and regulations
- Expertise in sustainable and innovative road construction techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior engineers
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Experience in delivering BIM Infrastructure projects and ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams
- Knowledge of local UAE road design standards and regulations
- Experience working on projects in the Middle East region
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
