The Role
We are hiring a Product Designer to shape the aesthetic direction of client projects and translate abstract concepts into tangible design outputs. You will lead the visual communication process right from concept sketches and mood boards to presentation renders and design packages ready for engineering.
You will be the creative interpreter, absorbing client vision and internal strategy to develop visuals that align both with brand expectations and production feasibility. Your work will define how our clients first see the idea and how the idea takes shape.
What You Will Do
Creative Direction and Visual Strategy
- Serve as a key design contact in early stage client discussions
- Translate briefs and verbal ideas into clear visual direction including mood boards, aesthetic references, and early form concepts
- Develop and refine creative concepts across multiple feedback rounds
Design Development and Communication
- Create design proposals, sketches, renders, and layout-ready visuals
- Build 3D mockups and placement visuals that represent real world context
- Ensure visual consistency across design assets and touchpoints
- Present creative work internally and in client-facing settings when required
Production Alignment and Documentation
- Collaborate with engineers to validate feasibility and production readiness
- Prepare complete design packages for engineering handover
- Maintain organized files, version control, and visual documentation
- Track project progress, design status, and integrate client feedback into iterations
What You Will Bring
- 3+ years of experience in product, industrial, or experiential design
- Strong visual communication skills including concept sketching, visual storytelling, and brand alignment
- Expertise in:
- SolidWorks (preferred) or Fusion 360
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Blender, Houdini, Rhino, or similar for stylized and organic render workflows
- Understanding of how design transitions into production
- Excellent organization and file management skills
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple active projects
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with shifting timelines
Nice to Have
- Awareness of material behavior and basic manufacturing techniques
- Ability to do quick physical or 3D mockups for internal alignment
- Experience preparing decks or visuals for high impact client presentations
What Success Looks Like
- Deliver initial design concepts for at least 90 percent of new projects within 3 working days of receiving the brief
- Maintain 95 percent accuracy in design handoff files, ensuring engineering and fabrication teams do not require significant rework
- Contribute to at least 3 client-facing visual presentations per quarter that directly influence project approvals or upsells
- Manage 3 to 5 active design streams simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines and visual quality benchmarks
- Maintain organized and retrievable visual documentation across all live projects with zero missing files during internal audits
- Receive an average feedback rating of 8 out of 10 or higher from stakeholders including clients project managers and engineers during project debriefs
- Identify and implement at least one improvement in visual process tools or documentation per quarter to enhance workflow clarity or reduce bottlenecks
