A Project Coordinator (Fitout) is responsible for coordinating the planning, execution, and delivery of interior fitout projects—typically in commercial, retail, hospitality, or office spaces. This role bridges the gap between clients, contractors, designers, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Assist with the development of project timelines and schedules.
- Coordinate tasks and milestones with subcontractors and vendors.
- Track project progress and report delays or issues.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Maintain and update project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
- Serve as a communication link between stakeholders (e.g., designers, engineers, site managers, and clients).
- Procurement & Logistics:
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to site.
- Ensure lead times align with construction timelines.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Assist with site inspections and compliance checks.
- Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed.
- Financial Monitoring:
- Help monitor project budgets and expenditures.
- Prepare progress claims and assist with invoicing.
Required Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of fitout materials, construction methods, and building codes.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD, or Revit).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
