Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Project Delivery Director to lead the successful execution of complex, high-value Busbar and Busbar Trunking System projects across multiple regions. This critical leadership role will manage a portfolio of manufacturing and customer delivery initiatives, driving excellence from design and planning through production, installation, and client handover.
The Project Delivery Director will serve as the central coordination point across engineering, operations, sales, supply chain, and customer service—ensuring project delivery aligns with Vertiv’s standards, commercial goals, and customer expectations. This role combines strategic planning, hands-on leadership, and team development with a deep focus on operational performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Operational Oversight
1. Direct the execution of multiple large-scale busbar projects across regions, ensuring alignment with Vertiv’s delivery standards and client requirements.
2. Develop delivery strategies that optimize resources, cost, timelines, and risk mitigation.
3. Act as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strong collaboration across engineering, sales, operations, production, logistics, and customer service teams.
4. Ensure all projects comply with internal governance protocols, industry regulations, and applicable quality and safety standards.
5. Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to resolve delivery issues with minimal disruption.
6. Oversee budget control, project schedules, and margin monitoring in conjunction with project engineers.
7. Conduct site visits and client meetings as necessary to ensure delivery satisfaction and resolve any field-related challenges.
Team Leadership & Development
8. Supervise and lead project delivery and production support staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
9. Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and support HR-related matters as required.
10. Coach, mentor, and provide career development guidance to team members.
11. Set individual employee goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and manage training plans.
12. Coordinate staff scheduling, including training, holiday cover, and absence planning.
13. Work with Human Resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained for successful delivery.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Culture Building
14. Collaborate with sales on order input, commercial alignment, and customer communication.
15. Liaise with Operations and Production Managers to ensure smooth factory-floor execution and resolution of productivity or quality issues.
16. Communicate project status, challenges, and performance updates to leadership and relevant departments.
17. Foster an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, health and safety, environmental responsibility, continuous improvement, and high performance.
18. Lead regional emergency/disaster recovery planning and serve as primary liaison with the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Governance, Compliance & CSR
19. Champion Vertiv’s policies on equal opportunity, diversity, fair treatment, and prevention of harassment or discrimination.
20. Support and oversee Vertiv’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives across the business.
21. Ensure strict adherence to Vertiv’s HSE Policy and management systems.

Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA or equivalent leadership qualification preferred)
· 10+ years’ experience in industrial/manufacturing project delivery, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director role
· Proven success delivering complex Busbar, Trunking, or LV/MV electrical system projects
· Strong understanding of custom-engineered products, low-voltage power distribution systems, and factory production planning
· Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality systems, and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., IEC 61439, ISO, H&S standards)
· Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a matrix environment
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
· Proficient in MS Project, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office 365; ERP experience a plus
· PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable
