Job Summary:

The Project Manager role is part of our Project Management Office (PMO) and serves as the primary customer contact for Tier 2 and Tier 3 project orders. This position holds full responsibility and authority for the successful implementation and execution of customer projects—from the Bid/Quote clarification phase through to cash collection.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Planning and Execution:
- Develop and lead the Project Plan that includes schedules, achievements, procurement strategy, execution strategy, financial targets, resources, communications, and considerations of risks.
- Coordinate manufacturing sites through effective planning scheduling and management
- Handling critical path and manage execution risk
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams
- Responsible for the EDDI to ensure realistic lead times and standard document tiers are quoted
- Work to finalize completion of the project including the MRO handoff, documentation, lessons learned and project closeout
Relationship Management:
- Requirements internally and externally, giving clear direction and requirements.
- Lead internal and external communication for Tier 3 (high Complexity) & Tier 2 (medium complexity) project orders.
- Lead the customer post award meeting when the order is committed to Emerson. Lead the Internal Kick-Off meeting to resolve all open issues and provide clarity on the execution plan.
- Coordinate Pre-Inspection meetings with the Customer’s Inspector and achieve clarity to the inspection requirements and process.
- Liaise with IPM to coordinate the inspections at factory.
- Interface and communicate with the customer/sales office to provide updates, landmarks, and progress appropriately.
- Ensure alignment with the customer on the Commitment Date and the Customer PO Dates including landmark dates for drawing and procedure submittals, drawing and procedures approvals, equipment inspection notifications, and “Ready for Inspection” dates.
- Participate in joint project review/discussion with the pursuit team
Contract Management:
- Understand Terms and Conditions of contract
- Minimize exposure to penalties, familiarity with contract law and regulations
- Work to ensure costs are managed and wherever possible, that still allows the project to meet customer requirements, action should be taken to avoid costs
- Negotiate/influence internally or externally for the initial scope of the project, change order, progress payments, terms and condition and all additions or expectations to the project
Financial Performance
- Responsible for the financial performance of the project
- Effectively manage change orders for an improved financial performance of the project; manage margin uplift for project.
- Manage financial targets and metrics for the project with the help of the Project Financial Analyst
Documentation
- Support document controllers (DC) for timely submission of Documents
- Ensures on time approval of documents for manufacturing, inspection, and shipping.
- Review customer comments and work with shareholders for resubmission

For this Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s Engineering degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years of relevant Project Management or Application Engineering experience in engineering space
- Effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Experience in successful management of multisite, multi-country projects
- Self-starting and committed
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart!
- PMP Certification or other equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
