Project Manager – Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Contractor’s personnel, the Owner’s personnel, and all subcontractors.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among all parties.
- Ensure that the Owner’s personnel and subcontractors comply with the directions issued by the Contractor’s team.
- Planning and Resource Management
- Plan and organize the necessary manpower, tools, equipment, and materials required for successful project execution.
- Mobilize and demobilize workers, tools, equipment, and materials as per project requirements.
- Project Execution and Control
- Monitor and control the project schedule to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain high standards of quality and ensure all work meets contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enforce safety measures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Team Management
- Supervise and manage project staff and site workers effectively.
- Ensure proper allocation of responsibilities and maintain productivity across the team.
- Problem Solving and Risk Management
- Identify potential issues and develop proactive solutions to address them.
- Implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions during the project.
Required Knowledge and Experience – Project Manager
- Technical Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of overhaul work for large-scale gas turbines and/or generators.
- Familiarity with lifting operations involving heavy components, piping work, welding, thermal insulation, and scaffolding activities.
- Thorough understanding of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for the overhaul of large-scale gas turbines and generators.
- Project Planning and Execution
- Proven ability to develop detailed schedules and resource plans including manpower and tools/equipment required for overhauls.
- Skilled in organizing and arranging all necessary manpower and resources for smooth execution of overhaul activities.
- Team and Operations Management
- Strong capability to lead, manage, and control both staff and site workers efficiently.
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Health, Safety, and Quality
- Solid knowledge of safety management systems and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Understanding and implementation of quality assurance practices in overhaul operations.
- Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in overhaul work for large-scale gas turbines or generators.
- Must have worked at least 5 times as a Project Engineer, specifically for gas turbine or generator overhaul projects.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Capability to manage and control the Work Permit System in accordance with Owner’s regulations and site-specific requirements.

- Fujairah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
