We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Project Manager-Design to oversee the Design Management of large-scale architectural projects. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of delivering high-value projects and possess strong leadership, coordination, and technical expertise within the UAE market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shall be the point of contact between the office or the client
- Lead the design management process from concept through IFC stage, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and project goals with his /her team.
- Coordinate with the design manager and ID teams, as well as external subconsultants (MEP, structural, landscape, etc.), to ensure integrated, coordinated design output.
- Review and manage design deliverables, project schedules, and milestones in accordance with project requirements and contractual obligations.
- Represent the firm in all client, consultant, and authority meetings related to design development and approvals.
- Ensure that all submissions comply with local Authorities, Civil Defense, and relevant building regulations.
- Identify or mitigate risks, manage design changes, and maintain control over design scope, quality, and budget throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present design reports, progress updates, and coordination matrices to stakeholders and senior management.
- Monitor consultant performance and manage coordination across disciplines to ensure timely resolution of design issues.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master's in Architecture
- Minimum 20-25 years of professional experience. (15 years in the UAE)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams through complex projects under tight schedules.
- Solid knowledge of UAE building codes, authority approval processes, and international design standards.
- Strong communication, client-facing, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera, MS Project) and design coordination platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks is a plus).
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials is an advantage.
- Experience working in a design consultancy or architectural firm of reputable standing in the UAE.
- Capable of managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
