To plan, organize and direct all works in the Project so that all elements are constructed and completed within the programmed timeframe and budgeted cost levels and complying with the specifications, drawings, QA/QC, safety and environmental requirements.
Ø Reports to the Project Director.
Ø Management of all construction works
Ø Manage the completion of Roads & Utility works in according to the Project milestones through coordination and management of departmental programmes in line with approved base line programme.
Ø Leading and Managing the Roads & Utility works to obtain the planned output by resolving any issues which can affect the work progress, safety or quality
Ø Liaise with the Engineer/Employer/service authorities for resolving any project management issues.
Ø Responsible for approving all technical documents such as the shop drawings & method statements prior to submission to the Engineer.
Ø Responsible for Progress on Roads & Utility works and report to Project Management as required.
Ø Ensure that the site logistics management meets the project requirements as per company’s set up systems and procedures.
Ø Arrange weekly schedule based on the approved baseline programme for the execution of various activities at site and monitoring.
Ø Monitor the Site activities and advise the Construction Managers for any areas for improvement.
Ø Ensure that the work being executed as per the approved drawing, specifications and Method Statements.
Ø Ensure that all the records are being filled up in a professional manner.
Ø Liaise closely with subcontractors. Manage the deliverables of the Subcontractors and ensure they are following the work programme, quality and safety
Ø Execute construction works in the project so that they are completed in time, within budget, with good specified quality and in a safe manner.
Ø Plan and implement the construction of all works in DS184B with required quality and related safety measures.
Ø Arrange adequate machinery, equipment, labor and material resources in relations to execution of construction works as planned to meet scheduled deadlines.
Ø Provide required inputs to Planning for the formulation of the Construction Program.
Ø Provide day to day directions to the construction manager site manager, engineers, surveyors, superintendents, site supervisors and Subcontractors’ staff in matters relating to site operations.
Ø Coordinate and liaise with other operations sections to optimize use of machinery and labor resources.
Ø Coordinate and liaise with the Technical, Procurement, Laboratory, Stores, Workshop, Plant, Labor, Safety and Quality sections to ensure all necessary requirements/activities are completed to prevent disruptions to site works.
Ø Liaise with Engineers / Inspectors / other representatives of the Consultants, Client or Authority regarding construction activities; and ensure that the relevant notification has been given or approval obtained prior to execution of works.
Ø Monitor construction costs and devise ways to minimize costs by increasing efficiency and productivity, minimizing wastage, double handling, rework and unproductive work; without compromising on deadlines, quality or safety.
Ø Monitor, follow-up and ensure performance and progress of Subcontractors/Suppliers and their activities.
Ø Check, evaluate and certify Subcontractors’ claims.
Ø Hold coordination meetings with team members and Subcontractors.
Ø Attend meetings with Client / Consultant as required.
Ø Request safety induction training for new arrival employee’s prior commencing worksite
Ø Communicate the risk assessment to their team with the support of EHS team
Ø Assign jobs/tasks to crew and ensure all personnel on site comply with site regulation and perform their tasks in accordance with approved procedures.
Ø Implement Permit to Work (PTW) system by request and initiate PTW for high risk activities.
Ø Ensure all the crew members on work location are aware of their responsibilities to report immediately if found any unsafe act or condition.
Ø Ensure all accidents, near miss incidents are reported immediately in accordance with company and client procedure Liaise with the Corporate QHSE department for conducting internal or External Audits.
