Manage the projects Section by displaying a high level of leadership and knowledge in the areas of projects . Lead and direct the projects of AD Maritime by taking overall responsibility for planning, executing, and closing out the projects to ensure the projects are delivered within desirable time , quality, and approved budget
- Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
• Manage an effective, well-integrated projects Management system.
• Manage and approve 5-year maritime plans.
• Manage, review and approve maritime contracts and plans.
• Oversee the engagement of external resources regarding the development within AD Maritime.
• Provide direction and manage employees in performing their delegated tasks.
• Delegate and monitor divisional functional goals, objectives and programs.
• Direct and approve activities on projects reporting, planning, execution, and handing over to relevant stakeholders.
• Review projects schedule, cost, and quality to ensure compliance with stakeholders with the support of the Engineering and technical support team.
• Review all periodic reports prepared to ensure that they are prepared in a timely manner.
• Review and quality assure all necessary initiatives, deliverables and outputs produced.
• Oversee the development of effective working relationships with key external stakeholders involved.
2. People management:
• Creating and maintaining a positive and productive work environment
• Providing employees with the training and development they need to succeed.
• Setting and reviewing employee performance goals
• Providing feedback and coaching to employees
• Managing employee discipline and performance improvement
• Promoting and supporting employee diversity and inclusion
• Creating a culture of safety and well-being

• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
• Representing the division to external stakeholders
3. Strategic responsibility:
• Development of projects Management effectiveness assessment, including suggesting areas for improvement in managing project.
• Ensure availability of all required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the division.
• Ensure that policies and procedures for various functions within the division are documented and adhere to.
• Review and endorse (in coordination with the Finance & Accounts Division) the division’s budget and forward to the director.
• Ensure that all the technology needs of the divisions are identified to ensure that the Division’s processes are performed efficiently and cost effectively.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- PMP certification preferred
