An Architectural QAQC Engineer ensures construction projects meet quality standards by developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and resolving issues. Their responsibilities include reviewing project documents, overseeing construction activities, and maintaining QAQC documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Project Documents:Examining project specifications, drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Conducting Inspections:Performing site visits to verify that work is executed according to approved plans and standards.
- Identifying Non-Conformities:Recognizing deviations from approved plans and initiating corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintaining Documentation:Creating and managing inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, checklists, and quality reports.
- Ensuring Compliance:Verifying that all construction activities comply with local building regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Monitoring Material Quality:Inspecting materials used on-site to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Assisting with Handover:Supporting the preparation of handover documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in QAQC within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of architectural principles, construction methods, quality management, and relevant codes and standards. (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai.
