- Maintain accurate records for all quality control activities, including product inspections, audits, test results, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and compile regular quality control reports for management, summarizing test results, inspections, and compliance audits.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits by ensuring that all quality-related documentation is readily accessible and in order.
- Ensure that all quality control documentation complies with applicable standards, regulatory bodies, and internal procedures.
- Provide training to the quality control and production teams on proper documentation practices and internal record-keeping standards.
- Suggest improvements to documentation processes that could enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Ensure that all product batches, raw materials, and finished goods are traceable via proper documentation for quality control purposes.
- Coordinate with external training bodies to ensure timely completion of required food safety training.
- Ensure that all employees have up-to-date health and safety cards as per regulatory requirements.
- Assist in Food Safety Team Leader in maintaining compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Perform daily updates on Food Watch Act as a Deputy for the Online Quality Controller and Quality Control Officer during their absence.
- Assist in preparing and updating process SOPs, product specifications, and related documents.
- Assist in preparing and updating Raw material or ingredient specification.
- Assist in root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and proper documentation of customer complaints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in quality control, documentation management, or related roles, ideally in a production or food industry.
- Proven experience with quality control software and documentation systems.
- ISO 22000:2018 Awareness Training certification, required
- Certification in Quality Control, Food Safety Management, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Previous experience in a pet nutrition or food production environment, preferable.
