Role Overview
As a Restaurant Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for delivering a warm welcome and ensuring seamless seating arrangements in line with luxury service standards. The ideal candidate must exude poise, hospitality, and excellent communication skills to create an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly with a genuine smile and attentive attitude.
- Manage restaurant reservations using digital booking systems or reservation software.
- Maintain an updated seating chart and waitlist and allocate tables effectively to ensure service flow.
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and communicate any daily specials or events.
- Maintain the entrance area clean, stylish, and welcoming at all times.
- Collaborate with waitstaff and restaurant management to ensure smooth table turnovers and guest satisfaction.
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor guest satisfaction during peak hours.
- Handle special requests, dietary concerns, or VIP guests professionally.
- Stay updated with menu offerings, ongoing promotions, and hotel-wide guest services.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as a hostess or in customer-facing roles, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Excellent grooming, interpersonal, and English communication skills (Arabic is a plus).
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities in a high-end service setting.
- Friendly, graceful, and service-oriented with a passion for hospitality.
- Familiarity with POS and reservation systems like OpenTable or SevenRooms is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.
