Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rig Machine Operator to operate drilling rigs and related equipment for [oil & gas, geotechnical, water well, or construction] projects. The Rig Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining rig machinery in accordance with operational plans, safety standards, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor drilling rig equipment efficiently and safely
- Set up and dismantle rigs and drilling equipment at job sites
- Follow drilling plans, ensuring alignment with depth, angle, and other specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on rig machinery and tools
- Coordinate with drilling crew and site supervisors for smooth daily operations
- Record drilling progress, daily reports, and operational data
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines at all times
- Identify and report mechanical issues, hazards, or equipment malfunctions
- Support loading, unloading, and transportation of equipment when required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in rig operations preferred
- Proven experience as a Rig Operator or similar role in drilling operations
- Strong mechanical knowledge of rig equipment and hydraulics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and drilling plans
- Physical fitness and ability to work in harsh environments or remote locations
- Willingness to work long shifts, weekends, and on-call if required
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
- Knowledge of safety standards and emergency procedures
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with different types of rigs (e.g., rotary, percussion, hydraulic)
- Familiarity with drilling logs and recording software
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems on-site
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
