Job Title: Safety Officer / HSE Officer
Location : Abu DHABI
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer (HSE Officer) with a solid background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will ensure that all safety regulations are followed, risks are minimized, and a safe working environment is maintained for all staff and contractors on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide safety induction and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and update safety documentation, including risk assessments, safety logs, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with site management to ensure all safety requirements are integrated into daily operations.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it meets safety standards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among all staff and workers.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven HSE experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of local safety laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple safety priorities.
Work Conditions:
- Full-time, site-based role.
- Requires regular fieldwork and interaction with construction teams
