We are seeking an experienced and proactive Security Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of security operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in security management, with a strong background in safeguarding people, assets, and information. The Security Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing security protocols and managing a team to ensure the safety and security of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans for the organization.
- Manage and supervise security personnel, providing direction, training, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks. Propose and implement solutions for potential threats.
- Oversee access control systems and protocols to ensure secure entry and exit points within the premises.
- Respond to and investigate security breaches, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring proper documentation and reporting of all activities.
- Manage surveillance systems (CCTV, alarm systems) to monitor activities and prevent unauthorized access or illegal activities.
- Work closely with other departments, including IT, Facilities, and HR, to ensure a coordinated approach to security and safety.
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal security regulations and industry best practices.
- Prepare and present security reports to senior management and recommend improvements where necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or related roles. Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial position is preferred.
- Security management certifications (such as CPP – Certified Protection Professional, PSP – Physical Security Professional) are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of security systems, protocols, and technologies.
- Ability to analyze risks and create effective security strategies.
- Crisis management and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a corporate or industrial setting.
- Military or law enforcement background.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols.
- Availability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Occasional travel may be necessary for training or site inspections.
