Job description
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming materials before applying spray paint.
- Mask off areas that should not be painted using tape, paper, or other protective materials.
- Inspect surfaces for defects or imperfections and repair them as needed.
- Operate spray painting equipment, including spray guns, air compressors, and other tools, to apply paint and coatings.
- Mix paint or coatings to the required specifications and adjust the consistency as needed.
- Apply paint in smooth, even coats while ensuring uniform coverage and finish.
- Ensure color consistency by testing and adjusting spray patterns.
- Monitor the quality of the finish throughout the painting process.
- Check for imperfections, such as streaks, bubbles, or drips, and correct them during the process.
- Ensure all work meets the specified standards and requirements of the project.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as gloves, masks, and goggles.
- Conduct regular maintenance on spraying equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
