Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Spray Painter to join our team. Candidates with a background in the marine industry will be given preference. The ideal applicant should be highly experienced in surface preparation, paint mixing, and spray-painting techniques. This role requires a detail-oriented, safety-conscious individual who can work in physically demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required
- Mix and match paint to achieve the desired color and consistency
- Apply paint using spray guns and other tools following industry standards
- Perform touch-ups and finishing work with attention to detail
- Inspect painted surfaces for flaws and ensure high-quality finishes
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean, safe condition
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and project schedules
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a spray painter; marine industry experience is a strong advantage
- Skilled in surface preparation, paint mixing, and various spray-painting techniques
- Knowledge of different paint types and surface coatings
- Ability to read and follow technical documents or instructions
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and work in confined or elevated areas
- Familiarity with health & safety practices in painting environments
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- Willingness to work in a team and follow direction
- Immediate availability is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in industrial or automotive painting
- Experience with marine-grade paints and coatings
- Understanding of corrosion protection methods and materials
