Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Storekeeper Assistant to support the management of materials, tools, and equipment at our construction site. The ideal candidate will assist the Storekeeper in ensuring smooth inventory operations, accurate record-keeping, and timely distribution of materials to meet project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Storekeeper in receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials and equipment.
- Organize and maintain storage areas in compliance with safety and company standards.
- Record and update inventory in the system, ensuring accuracy of stock levels.
- Issue materials and tools to site teams upon approved requests.
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams for material requirements.
- Assist in conducting regular stock checks and reporting shortages or damages.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Follow company safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized store.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in storekeeping within the construction industry in the UAE.
- Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced site environment.
