Job Summary:
COENGR is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Draftsman to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role involves preparing precise structural drawings and documentation in alignment with project requirements, engineering specifications, and applicable codes for a range of engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
- Interpret and convert engineers’ designs, sketches, and calculations into accurate technical drawings.
- Coordinate closely with structural engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy and compatibility.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and clients.
- Maintain drawing records, revisions, and project documentation in an organized manner.
- Ensure compliance with UAE and international codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and quantity take-offs when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in structural drafting, preferably in the UAE.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and of Revit Structure.
- Strong understanding of structural detailing, building methods, and construction processes.
- Ability to interpret and produce precise technical drawings from engineering inputs.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work experience in an engineering consultancy.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality standards and UAE building codes.
