Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our culinary team in Business Bay. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing high-quality sushi and Japanese cuisine, with a commitment to freshness, presentation, and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present sushi dishes including maki, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls according to restaurant standards
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled with care
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team and support chefs during service hours
- Monitor inventory and inform management of any stock needs or shortages
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
- Keep up to date with new sushi trends and techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality presentation
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for Japanese cuisine
