Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Generic Accountability:
- Supporting the Business in developing and implementing strategies to grow the Islamic corporate and investment banking division, including identifying new business opportunities and expanding the division’s market share.
- Overseeing the execution of financial transactions that comply with Islamic principles, including sharia compliant financing, investment and risk management techniques.
- Managing the financial performance of the division, including targets, monitoring progress and taking corrective action as needed.
- Leading and managing a team of professionals jointly with department Head, including setting performance goals, providing mentorship and support in evaluating employee performance.
Job Specific Accountabilities:
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators and other financial institutions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including those related to Islamic Finance.
- Joint responsibility in achieving the business financial targets.
JOB CONTEXT:
Specific Accountability:
The objective of MD, Head of Islamic Coverage, Wholesale banking is to lead and manage the Islamic Wholesale banking division of FAB Islamic. This involves developing and implementing strategies for the division, overseeing the execution of financial transactions that comply with Islamic principles and managing the financial performance of the division.

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
Additional Information
Minimum Experience
10 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the Corporate and Investment banking.
