Job Description
A swimming pool plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing systems and components related to pools, spas, and water features. This includes working with piping for circulation, filtration, heating, and drainage systems. The role requires a keen eye for detail to ensure leak-free connections and efficient hydraulic performance in compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations. The plumber will also troubleshoot and resolve issues with pumps, filters, and other pool equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain the complete plumbing infrastructure for swimming pools, including pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures.
- Work with various materials such as PVC and copper, ensuring all connections are sealed properly and meet manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair leaks in pipes, pumps, and other pool equipment.
- Install and set up pool pumps, filters, heaters, sanitization systems, and automated control systems.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with the relevant municipal and building regulations across the UAE.
Requirements
- Must be a certified plumber with proven experience in swimming pool plumbing.
- Strong understanding of relevant UAE plumbing codes and building regulations as adopted by various municipalities (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport).
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a vocational or technical certification is a preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, use plumbing tools effectively, and work safely in diverse conditions.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and strict adherence to company policies and safety procedures are also required.
