Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Taekwondo Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Taekwondo training and coaching, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with children and adults alike. This role also requires basic computer proficiency and a customer-oriented mindset, as well as experience in fitness management or training.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Taekwondo classes for students of all ages and skill levels.
- Create lesson plans that align with the academy’s curriculum and values.
- Ensure student safety and discipline during classes.
- Motivate and mentor students to help them achieve their personal best.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff.
- Assist in event planning (belt tests, tournaments, demonstrations).
- Manage attendance and student progress using academy software.
- Support front desk and customer service activities as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-year college degree (Associate’s or equivalent).
- Minimum 1–2 years of Taekwondo coaching or teaching experience.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, and basic software tools).
- Experience in fitness training or fitness management is a plus.
- Must enjoy working with children and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid (preferred but not mandatory).
- Black belt certification in Taekwondo (Kukkiwon preferred).
