Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in garment construction, alterations, and repairs for both men’s and women’s clothing. You will work closely with customers to ensure a perfect fit and provide exceptional craftsmanship and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform custom tailoring and alterations on various types of garments, including suits, dresses, trousers, skirts, and uniforms
- Take accurate body measurements and ensure precise garment fittings
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Operate and maintain sewing machines, sergers, and other tailoring tools
- Make repairs, adjustments, and refinements to existing garments
- Ensure high-quality finishing and attention to detail
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress
- Ability to work with different fabrics and styles
- Skilled in both hand-sewing and machine sewing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience in bridal wear, formalwear, or traditional garments
