Job Summary
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Analyst to join our Finance team. The Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of direct and indirect taxation, ensuring full compliance with tax laws and regulations across operating regions, and supporting tax planning and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Project and plan the company’s overall tax obligations in line with the business strategy.
- Accurately calculate and report tax liabilities based on current tax laws and regulations.
- Execute tax procedures and processes in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare timely tax returns, estimates, accruals, and related financial reports.
- Handle communication with tax authorities, including responding to queries and managing litigation related to indirect taxes.
- Continuously review and update direct and deferred tax provisions to reflect changes in regulatory requirements.
- Provide internal advisory on tax implications of business operations and strategies.
- Facilitate and support tax audits by ensuring completeness, accuracy, and transparency of all relevant records.
- Create and maintain tax dashboards and monthly reports for management review.
- Lead or support tax-driven initiatives at the local and regional level.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Tax or related financial role.
- Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments, preferably in medium to large organizations.
- Prior exposure to tax regulations in KSA and Oman is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with tax matters in industries like general contracting and heavy equipment trading is preferred.
- Strong understanding of direct and indirect tax laws, reporting standards, and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
