The person is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of Value Added Tax compliance within an organization, prepares VAT returns, and provides advice on VAT matters. This role involves analyzing financial data, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with various departments to optimize tax processes.
Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant with hands-on experience in
UAE taxation to join our growing finance team. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with UAE
VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, managing tax audits, and providing proactive tax advisory to
minimize liabilities and support business strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in
UAE tax law, and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and file accurate VAT and Corporate Tax returns in line with FTA regulations.
- Ensure timely payment of tax liabilities and maintain compliance with all UAE tax obligations.
- Handle tax assessments, audits, and correspondence with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
- Provide tax planning strategies to minimize tax exposure and optimize tax efficiency.
- Keep updated with changes in UAE tax laws, regulations, and reporting standards.
- Analyze contracts, transactions, and financial statements for tax implications.
- Support in year-end closing processes and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of tax records for audit and legal compliance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to incorporate tax insights into financial reporting and forecasting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in Taxation (VAT & Corporate Tax).
- Strong knowledge of UAE Tax Law, FTA procedures, and international tax principles.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP).
- Solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Good command of MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
