Position Summary:
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests in a dining setting. This includes taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the dining area. The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a polite and friendly manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information on menu items when asked.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or requests.
- Clear tables and clean dining areas between and after guests.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down service areas.
- Process payments and issue receipts accurately.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Cooperate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Basic math and POS system skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
