About the Role
- Ensure traffic laws and regulations are enforced by field staff in coordination with law enforcement and RTA officials.
- Respond to traffic incidents, coordinate clearance operations promptly, and minimize congestion and disruption to public roads.
- Monitor and manage daily road traffic operations on-site to maintain safe and efficient vehicle and pedestrian flow.
- Notify traffic police and RTA control room prior to commencing diversion or traffic control works, ensuring all necessary approvals are in place.
- Ensure all traffic signage is clean, visible, legible, and appropriately positioned for visibility during day, night, and adverse weather conditions.
- Ensure full on-site compliance with RTA WZTMM (Work Zone Traffic Management Manual) and other applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily traffic operations, crew briefings, incidents and accident reports, and any deviations from planned activities.
- Liaise with local authorities, project contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure that all traffic control activities meet legal, environmental, and project- specific requirements.
- Support the preparation, development, and distribution of traffic safety materials, signage instructions, and crew operational briefings.
