We are seeking a professional to lead and manage comprehensive accounting, VAT, and compliance operations in line with UAE regulations and international standards (IFRS). This role involves full-spectrum accounting oversight, including financial reporting, VAT compliance, company liquidation, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will bring over 5 years of experience in UAE financial operations, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and possess fluency in both Arabic and English. Proficiency in accounting software and a valid UAE driver's license are required. This role also plays a key part in business development, collections, and team leadership to drive growth and operational excellence.
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Lead and oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring strict adherence to IFRS and UAE financial regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, ensuring accuracy in reporting, cost control, and forecasting.
- Implement best-in-class accounting practices, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.
- Review consolidated financial reports, balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of accounts, intercompany transactions, bank statements, and tax filings.
- Oversee ERP/accounting software implementation and optimization, ensuring automation and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with auditors for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Monitor regulatory updates and implement necessary financial and operational adjustments.
2. VAT & Taxation
- Manage VAT registration, deregistration, and compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
- Ensure accurate FTA updates with clients required documents.
- Ensure accurate and timely VAT filing, reporting, and audits.
- Stay updated with UAE tax laws, providing guidance on tax-efficient practices.
- Handle VAT refund applications and ensure compliance with tax documentation.
3. UAE Liquidation & Compliance
- Expertly manage company liquidation processes, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.
- Liaise with government authorities, free zones, and financial institutions for liquidation procedures.
- Prepare final financial statements and tax clearances for company closures.
4. Client Acquisition & Business Growth
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients for accounting, tax, and liquidation services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Present service offerings, negotiate contracts, and close deals to expand business.
5. Collections & Receivables Management
- Oversee client invoicing, payments, and collections to maintain a healthy cash flow.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and implement effective credit control policies.
- Handle disputes professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
6. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage an accounting team, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to enhance team skills.
- Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability and quality control.
7. Adhoc Responsibilities
- Assist in financial audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
- Analyze financial data to provide strategic insights for business growth.
- Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Represent the company in financial and tax-related meetings with stakeholders.
- Work on process automation and improvement initiatives for efficiency.
- Other projects that requires team support and expertise.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Language: Fluent in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are a plus).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, VAT, and UAE liquidation.
- Driving License: Must have a valid UAE driver’s license.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
- Other: Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
