About the Role:
As a Vocal Teacher at Thomsun Music Institute, you will play a key role in shaping the musical journey of aspiring singers. You will be responsible for delivering structured vocal training, helping students build technique, confidence, and performance skills. Whether working with beginners or advanced learners, your role is to unlock their vocal potential and guide them toward excellence, be it for casual learning, stage performance, or international music exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one and group vocal lessons for students of all ages and skill levels
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and music exams (Trinity, ABRSM, etc.)
- Customize teaching methods to suit individual student needs and goals
- Teach vocal techniques including breath control, pitch accuracy, articulation, and expression
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress
- Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment
Requirements:
- Degree or certification in Music/Vocal Performance or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in vocal instruction (Western classical, contemporary, or both)
- Proficient in music theory, sight-reading, and vocal pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with international music syllabi is a plus
