Job Title: Workshop Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Workshop Manager with a strong technical background and a keen sense for business development. The ideal candidate will manage daily workshop operations while also identifying and securing new business opportunities. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who is both hands-on and strategic.
Key responsibility:
- Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure efficient workflow
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians, ensuring quality standards are met
- Coordinate job scheduling, resource allocation, and time management
- Implement health and safety protocols and compliance standards
- Manage inventory, tools, and equipment maintenance
- Provide technical support and guidance to the team
- Conduct diagnostics, inspections, and quality control on complex jobs
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all technical tasks
- Identify new business opportunities in the local and regional market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers
- Prepare and deliver proposals, estimates, and service contracts
- Collaborate with the sales/marketing team to promote workshop services
- Monitor industry trends and recommend service improvements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or in a supervisory role in a workshop setting.
- Business development or sales experience is a strong advantage
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment, machinery, and repair processes.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a workshop environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in relevant software tools for tracking and managing workflow.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or a degree in engineering is preferred.
