Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant cum Admin to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will manage the full set of accounts, ensure timely tax filings, generate owner statements, and provide general administrative support. The role also requires mobility within the city to handle operational tasks related to the short-term rental business.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting:
- Maintain and manage the full set of company accounts in accordance with UAE laws and accounting standards.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Generate detailed Owner Statements and ensure timely distribution to property owners.
- Monitor and report on property income and expenses, track profitability per unit.
- Manage VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
- Prepare and file all financial documents as per audit and regulatory requirements.
Software Management:
- Use QuickBooks for day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
- Use OwnerRez for managing bookings, owner reports, and financial tracking (preferred).
- Generate automated and manual financial reports as required by management.
Administrative Support:
- Coordinate with suppliers, service providers, and property managers for billing and maintenance issues.
- Handle documentation, lease agreements, and invoice processing.
- Maintain records and ensure timely renewals of licenses, permits, and insurance related to properties.
Field Work / Mobility:
- Comfortable commuting within Dubai for tasks such as:
- Visiting properties for inspections, handovers, or document collection.
- Banking errands, governmental department visits, or supplier meetings.
Communication & Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between the company and property owners regarding financial queries.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assist the operations team with administrative tasks when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or administrative roles.
- Previous experience in real estate or short-term rental business is a plus.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and knowledge of OwnerRez (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and experience in tax filing.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel within Dubai for work-related purposes.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: AED 4,000 – AED 5,000/month based on experience and skills.
