Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant cum Logistics Coordinator to join our team at a dynamic furniture retail and import company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting in import documentation, and overseeing logistics and inventory processes. Proficiency in Tally and a good understanding of import procedures are essential for this role.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Responsibilities
- Maintain daily financial transactions using Tally.
- Prepare and maintain sales, purchase, expense records, and petty cash.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor accounts payable/receivable.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain petty cash and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
Logistics & Inventory Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers, shipping agents, and customs brokers for import shipments.
- Prepare and manage import documentation including invoices, packing lists, bill of lading, and custom clearance documents.
- Track incoming shipments and ensure timely clearance and delivery.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels in the warehouse.
- Assist in organizing and optimizing delivery schedules.
- Liaise with internal departments for order fulfillment and stock movement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and logistics roles.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.
- Knowledge of import documentation and customs clearance processes.
- Strong MS Excel and data management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
